Earth Bonded to Neutral at Sub Board

Earth Bond should only occur at the MEN or where a separate Earth stake is Correctly inserted. Investigate further and disconnect Local Earth-Neutral link to prevent electrical hazard. Refer AS3000, and https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QXloYeFr0NecwbJXs029JX6MGYhuNtSd/view?usp=sharingf and Service and Installation Rules of New South Wales - 1.17.7 Earthing. New electrical installations, and alterations or additions to existing installations must be earthed using a Multiple Earthed Neutral (MEN) system complying with the requirements of AS/NZS 3000.
  • The main earthing conductor or a bonding conductor must not be connected to the service neutral link or bar.
  • The MEN connection must be made at the first downstream consumers neutral link.
All subsequent customer’s neutral links installed at the service position/main switchboard must originate from the first downstream customer’s neutral link (at which the MEN connection is established).

Motor Protection Relay - Warmish

Motor protection relay is well within standards, but warmer than similar units.
  • Check motor for ceased bearing, bearing failure or excessive load. REDUCE overload trip set-point if bearing has failed.
  • Check maximum load currents to relay set-point.
  • Inspect relay, motor cables & terminations for loose joints and heat damage. If damaged, replace components accordingly.
  • Possible internal fault. Check with OEM if componentry is within specifications.
  • Refer to the following link for further information: www.thermal-imaging.com.au/motor-protection-relays.html

Oxidation - Normal Temperature Range Replace ASAP

Oxidation - Normal Range Replace ASAP:
Components are within normal range, but oxidation is present. Oxidation and overheating are occurring under heavier load conditions over an extended period.
  • Clean or replace components as required, as soon as possible.
  • Ensure no conductive carbon residue exists.
  • Ensure replaced components are properly installed by booking a further thermal imaging test.
