Thermal Imaging

Infrascan Thermal Imaging uses an infrared thermal imaging camera to take infrared photographs of thermal anomalies. Our principal focus is thermal imaging of electrical switchgear and electrical panels, but we routinely scan bearings, gearboxes, transformers, motors, plant and production equipment:
- Thermal imaging of electrical switch boards for electrical faults
- Thermal Imaging of mechanical switch boards for electrical faults
- Thermal imaging of Power Factor Correction Units for electrical faults
- Thermal imaging of motors for bearing failure or gear box problems
- Thermal imaging of transformers for overheating and electrical faults
- Thermal imaging of tanks – including stainless steel tanks to discover leaks
- Thermal imaging of equipment for non destructive testing (NDT) purposes
Spotting damage, wear and tear and other issues before they become big problems is the key to avoiding costly interventions in the future.
Infrascan's thermal imaging solutions monitor the condition and performance of electrical systems for safety and compliance. Book a thermal imaging scan for your home, commercial or industrial building and ensure the safety of its occupants.

What is Thermal Imaging?
Thermal imaging is a cutting-edge tool that uses infrared technology to detect invisible heat patterns and anomalies in electrically powered systems. A specialised camera identifies disproportionate changes in heat signatures caused by potential problems such as damaged components, frayed wiring and overloaded circuits.
What Can a Thermal Imaging Camera Detect?
Thermal scanners offer lightning-fast results within just ten microseconds! With a thermal scanner, you can quickly detect issues such as:
Overloaded connectors
Overloaded connectors
- Poorly insulated wiring
- Compromised insulation on wirings and circuits
- Overheating components & equipment
- Poor electrical connections
Why Undertake Thermal Imaging?
When protecting businesses and homes, thermal imaging is a must for optimal safety and compliance. This revolutionary technology provides many advantages:
✔ Quick & Non-Invasive: No need to disassemble or disrupt electrical systems.
✔ Cost-Effective: Thermal imaging scans are much less expensive than other methods of diagnostics and testing.
✔ Safety Guaranteed: Detect potential fire hazards and other safety issues before they become an emergency.
✔ Comprehensive Results: Identify problems before they disrupt operations or cause damage.

How Often Should Thermal Imaging Occur?
The frequency of thermal imaging scans depends on the building or structure being inspected, but we recommend doing it at least once a year to ensure the building is free from any hazards. It can also be done before and after major renovations or modifications and when new equipment has been installed.
